Are you passionate about talking about the rights of LGBTI+ people and creating inclusive environments? Join our team as a volunteer investigator at the Olympic & Paralympic Games, where you’ll have the opportunity to engage with spectators and raise awareness of LGBTI+ issues on the international stage.

Position : Volunteer Interviewer
Location : Olympic & Paralympic Games site around Pop-ups and Centrale Pride House, Paris, France
Language requirements : Fluency in English and French
Survey duration: Duration of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, from July 26 to August 11, 2024 and/or from August 28 to September 8, 2024. Possibility of participating either during the first period or during the second period.
A training session is to be scheduled in July before the start of the Olympics as well as a session in August before the start of the Paralympics.

Responsabilities :

Engagement and awareness: Engage with spectators in a friendly and respectful manner, raising awareness of the rights of LGBTI+ people and promoting inclusion through positive interactions and conversations.
Survey administration: Administer surveys to spectators attending the Olympic Games, to gather valuable data on awareness, attitudes and perceptions related to LGBTI+ rights and inclusion.
Team collaboration: Work collaboratively with other volunteers and team members to coordinate survey administration efforts, share ideas and support each other in achieving our advocacy goals.

Qualifications :

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences in a friendly and approachable manner.
  • Fluency in English and French, with the ability to conduct surveys and interviews in both languages.
  • Defending the rights of LGBTI+ people and commitment to promoting inclusion and acceptance.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with volunteers and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to adapt to dynamic environments and changing circumstances during the Olympic Games.
