WHAT IS A PRIDE HOUSE?

A Pride House is a place created to support and celebrate the LGBTI+ community.

The aim is to provide a safe and inclusive place where all members of the community can come together, share experiences, promote visibility and raise awareness of the issues facing the community. Supported by Pride House International, Pride Houses have been taking their place at major international sporting events since the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

In 2024, the Fier-Play association organized the 24th edition of Pride Houses, focusing on celebrating the Games and creating an inclusive space for LGBTI+ athletes and their allies. This initiative aimed to promote the values of the LGBTI+ community and raise public awareness of the issues facing this community in sport, while calling for universal inclusion and the decriminalization of homosexuality.
The aim is to convey a strong message: to make LGBTI+ people in sport more visible, by promoting testimonials and role models.

A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE TO CELEBRATE THE GAMES

You’ve been part of the Rosa Bonheur adventure, and of the Club France adventure !
At the heart of the event, whether you’re an athlete, supporter or ally, gather at Club France during the Paralympic Games.
We welcomed you to a program of sporting, cultural, educational and festive events!

The event offered a diversity of sporting activities accessible on a daily basis, with demonstrations designed to promote inclusive, non-gender-specific practices.
A space was dedicated to exhibitions and literary works addressing various themes affecting the LGBTI+ community, offering an enriching cultural platform.

Volunteers were on hand to share and raise awareness of the LGBTI+ cause in sport, offering quizzes, animations and impassioned discussions.
The emphasis was on celebration, with dance demonstrations offered as “ice-breakers”, inviting participants to join the party into the night.

POP-UPS, FOR A BETTER CONNECTION

You have met us on the streets of Paris and at festive events.

From June 15 to September 8, our volunteers were out and about in Paris, hosting pop-up events to raise public awareness of LGBTI+ issues in sport and help people discover them together.
